♪ Oops, I did it again - and again - and AGAIN will it ever stop srsly
Do you ever get so BORED but you're like too TIRED to do anything but at the same time you're OMG SO BORED and kind of want to do stuff but not really?
I've been feeling like this for the past few weeks, growing more and more frustrated as I noticed I wasn't able to do anything but complain about stuff I was missing out because of my laziness. Well, last week I told myself I would have finished writing a chapter of a fic I haven't updated in, like, a year and a half *sobs* and I ended up sketching a scene from it instead. I mean, it's still quite *productive* for my current mood, but it's just not the same and I really wish I'd been able to find a way to unlock this... whatever it is, and start writing again 'cos I kind of really really miss it?

Part of me thinks it's because I don't even read that much anymore. It's been more than two months since I last opened a book. I mean, what the hell. Truth is, work tires and bores and tires and BORES me so fucking much and when I come back home at night I just want to watch some telly and go to sleep. Same goes for the weekends - when I'm not sleeping I'm just sitting on a sofa with my friends, watching a movie or talking about the end of the world. Yay.

//// depression intensifies

Anyway, here's a little preview of the above mentioned sketch. Under the cut the latest update instead (I've been trying to get Dom's face right all night but you can tell I'm a Matt girl *sighs*)

mehehe I love his freckles tbh

Hope you're all doing well! ♥

Oh, are you studying Italian too, now? That's exciting! Let me know if you need any help with that, and good luck with your test! :D

Daylight... yeah, lovely... shame I'm trapped in an office for most part of the day, though, and I only get to enjoy the sunshine on the ride back home. T_T

I'm in Naples atm, but will probably move somewhere else as soon as I can. Not that I don't like it here in Italy, but I just need to keep moving for some reason? XD

Well, the uni requires a minimum of 8 credits to be done in language classes (which means 2 semesters normally). I'm not quite sure why I didn't go with German, but in the end I chose Italian. The thing is I couldn't be here when the exam took place and this uni has some weird regulations; I wasn't allowed to re-sit the exam so I got no credits at all. :/ I'm doing the placement test on Monday so that hopefully I can continue with the next level and not redo A1 again. I also signed up for Spanish (German classes on my level don't fit in my schedule), so that I finish with the 8 credits now. I will probably go mad. xD Thanks for offering your help! So far it was basic stuff and it resembles Romanian a lot.

Ugh, that sucks. :( Sorry to hear that. I hope you will find a nice opportunity then and start anew in an interesting city! <3 Are you going to any festivals/gigs this summer?

Oh, I see! Well, it is quite similar to Romanian, isn't it? At least the written part - I had to translate three contracts from Romanian to Italian last week (at work) and it wasn't that hard at all! Like, most words were actually the same. Pretty sure you'll rock this test! ♥

I was actually planning on moving to the US - yes, I know, that's crazy, right? But I change my mind every two months or so, so... for now, yes, I'd say California, but again, I need to save money first, so no sun, no ocean, no palms, no beach for me for a while. XD

I'm going to Rock in Roma in July, but I was thinking about Werchter as well? Or maybe one of the festivals in Germany, still dunno. Which one are you going to? I saw Muse in Exeter last month and man, IT JUST LEFT ME CRAVING FOR MOREEEE :D
[identity profile] thekeyholder.livejournal.com on April 13th, 2015 02:44 pm (UTC)
Ohh, you had to translate those document yourself? Yeah, there are some extra sounds that don't exist in Italian, but otherwise they are really similar. The exam was easy, did it in 10 minutes, and then there was a short interview in the afternoon. Basically I just had to present myself. xD So I can continue with A2 and apparently there are 5 places left in the group that fits my schedule, so I should be fine (sign up is on Wednesday afternoon).

Oh wow, California! :O It's not easy moving in Europe, but moving to another continent is completely different! Well, you can save some money for a while and then try to see what opportunities arise. ;) I'll keep my fingers crossed!

I can imagine, Exeter was probably the best gig in the entire tour! <3 Yeah, I thought you'd be doing Rome, a lot of my friends are going. I'm going to Rockavaria in Munich, but since back when I got the ticket no one wanted to come, I bought seating. :)) Couldn't queue anyway, can't get there early enough.

Well, it was me and Google Translate, I'd say we did quite a good job, lol! I usually translate from English, Spanish or French - even Greek sometimes - but Romanian was definitely a new one! :D

Yay for you! Knew you'd make it - and I'm also happy to hear that you'll continue with Italian! Ben fatto (well done)! ♥

Yeah... California. But this morning I actually woke up thinking about moving to Scotland again, lol. I'll probably end up in Milan in the end, I just know it... XD

Exeter was... there are no words to describe it. Great? The best? Geez, just thinking about it still gives me the chills! I'm hoping for a repeat performance this summer, those old b-sides work just PERFECTLY live!

Ohhh, Munich? I actually considered going to Munich... will definitely let you know if I decide to come! Let's say there's a 90% of chance I might buy a ticket... you'll probably end up having company :P
[identity profile] thekeyholder.livejournal.com on April 14th, 2015 02:46 pm (UTC)
Well, Spanish and French are okay, I guess, but Greek? :O Wow! Or do you speak it?

Haha, grazie!

Well, you have to keep your mind open, who knows what will come up? :D

Ahhh, I can imagine, just looking at pics/watching vids made me crave for more! I doubt that we'll hear b-sides at festivals, but who knows? Yeah, my uni town is like 3 hours away from Munich, so after they released day tickets, I got one. AND THAT WOULD BE AMAZING if you came!!! :DDDD I booked accommodation, but I might get a ride back from a friend who also bought tix a few days ago, so it's still uncertain if I'm staying the night or not.
