♪ Oops, I did it again - and again - and AGAIN will it ever stop srsly
Do you ever get so BORED but you're like too TIRED to do anything but at the same time you're OMG SO BORED and kind of want to do stuff but not really?
I've been feeling like this for the past few weeks, growing more and more frustrated as I noticed I wasn't able to do anything but complain about stuff I was missing out because of my laziness. Well, last week I told myself I would have finished writing a chapter of a fic I haven't updated in, like, a year and a half *sobs* and I ended up sketching a scene from it instead. I mean, it's still quite *productive* for my current mood, but it's just not the same and I really wish I'd been able to find a way to unlock this... whatever it is, and start writing again 'cos I kind of really really miss it?

Part of me thinks it's because I don't even read that much anymore. It's been more than two months since I last opened a book. I mean, what the hell. Truth is, work tires and bores and tires and BORES me so fucking much and when I come back home at night I just want to watch some telly and go to sleep. Same goes for the weekends - when I'm not sleeping I'm just sitting on a sofa with my friends, watching a movie or talking about the end of the world. Yay.

//// depression intensifies

Anyway, here's a little preview of the above mentioned sketch. Under the cut the latest update instead (I've been trying to get Dom's face right all night but you can tell I'm a Matt girl *sighs*)

mehehe I love his freckles tbh

Omg, you followed me on Tumblr a couple of days ago! It was you!! I love your art seriously!!

*thumbs up*

E oddio oddio LO SO DEAD INSIDE È TROPPO FIGA E ANCHE MATT È TROPPO FIGO E NON CE LA FACCIO SUL SERIO.

"ITALIAN ENTHUSIASTS ARE SO RARE THESE DAYS" REALLY???? E QUESTA DOMENICA FA UN ANNO DALLA ULTIMA VOLTA CHE CI SONO ANDATA E NON E' GIUSTO *piange*

A proposito, mi chiamo Irene, è un piacere xD
[identity profile] oh-cathy.livejournal.com on April 9th, 2015 10:15 am (UTC)

Piacere, Sara!

Omg, this popped up on my twitter feed the other day as someone must have found it on your tumblr and I couldn't stop staring then!!
I love this pic, I love how Matt is showing a little of his waist and Dom is taking care of him as always XD you're so talented!

I hope you start to feel better soon, even if you don't get back to writing just yet, please keep doing the excellent art work :D

And YES I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEW ALBUM TOO I'M SO EXCITED!!
[identity profile] oh-cathy.livejournal.com on April 9th, 2015 10:30 am (UTC)
Aw, cheers, darling! Thank you ♥

I didn't post this WIP on Twitter, so I was a bit confused when you said you saw it over there - as long as people is sharing the Tumblr post is fine, though. I just hate it when they repost stuff without even asking the author first - it's not even about getting the credits for it, really, but it just bothers me to no end for some unknown reason. :///
I'm glad you liked it, though - I'm still working on it and Matt's hip is literally driving me crazy, lol. #fangirlproblems

Thanks for the encouragement! Hopefully this WE I'll get enough time & motivation to finish both this sketch and that damn chapter. I can do this! è_é/

OH AND I NEED THAT ALBUM LIKE RIGHT NOW NNGHHH
[identity profile] thekeyholder.livejournal.com on April 11th, 2015 09:45 am (UTC)
Heeeeey there, how are you?

The feeling you expressed is literally me in the past 2 years. xD Not sure how to get out of it tbh, but I hope you manage to climb out of it.

Your drawing is sweeeet, love it! I think Dom looks great, though, don't worry.

I need the new album soooooooo badly!!!!
[identity profile] oh-cathy.livejournal.com on April 11th, 2015 11:44 am (UTC)
Hi Brigi! How are you? *hugs*
Apart from this weird feeling of general impotence, well, I'm quite good, thank you. ♥

Tbh, I've felt like this before - let's say it's some sort of cyclic thing? I've managed to escape from it in the past by basically distracting myself with other stuff (ex: going out, taking long walks, cooking etc), but it just seems like I'll have to think of something else this time. Hope you'll find your own way to fight against it! Hopefully the new Muse album will rock us both out of it! :D

As for the drawing - aw, thank you! I was just writing this scene where Matt steals popcorns from Dom's bowl and... ooops. It turned into a doodle? Haha. I'm working on it right now, still trying to get Dom's nose right... *frustration intesifies*

♥♥

Hey, I'm studying for my Italian test on Monday. xD Just busy with uni stuff in general.

I really, really hope the new album will help us shake of this awful feeling. I also feel slightly more productive and less lazy now that we finally have more daylight.

Aww, that sounds cute! :3 I envy you for the ability to turn your ideas into drawings haha. It will be lovely in the end, I'm sure!

Btw, are you still in London or have you moved back to Italy?
[identity profile] oh-cathy.livejournal.com on April 11th, 2015 01:52 pm (UTC)
Oh, are you studying Italian too, now? That's exciting! Let me know if you need any help with that, and good luck with your test! :D

Daylight... yeah, lovely... shame I'm trapped in an office for most part of the day, though, and I only get to enjoy the sunshine on the ride back home. T_T

I'm in Naples atm, but will probably move somewhere else as soon as I can. Not that I don't like it here in Italy, but I just need to keep moving for some reason? XD
[identity profile] thekeyholder.livejournal.com on April 11th, 2015 03:26 pm (UTC)
Well, the uni requires a minimum of 8 credits to be done in language classes (which means 2 semesters normally). I'm not quite sure why I didn't go with German, but in the end I chose Italian. The thing is I couldn't be here when the exam took place and this uni has some weird regulations; I wasn't allowed to re-sit the exam so I got no credits at all. :/ I'm doing the placement test on Monday so that hopefully I can continue with the next level and not redo A1 again. I also signed up for Spanish (German classes on my level don't fit in my schedule), so that I finish with the 8 credits now. I will probably go mad. xD Thanks for offering your help! So far it was basic stuff and it resembles Romanian a lot.

Ugh, that sucks. :( Sorry to hear that. I hope you will find a nice opportunity then and start anew in an interesting city! <3 Are you going to any festivals/gigs this summer?
[identity profile] oh-cathy.livejournal.com on April 13th, 2015 06:51 am (UTC)
Oh, I see! Well, it is quite similar to Romanian, isn't it? At least the written part - I had to translate three contracts from Romanian to Italian last week (at work) and it wasn't that hard at all! Like, most words were actually the same. Pretty sure you'll rock this test! ♥

I was actually planning on moving to the US - yes, I know, that's crazy, right? But I change my mind every two months or so, so... for now, yes, I'd say California, but again, I need to save money first, so no sun, no ocean, no palms, no beach for me for a while. XD

I'm going to Rock in Roma in July, but I was thinking about Werchter as well? Or maybe one of the festivals in Germany, still dunno. Which one are you going to? I saw Muse in Exeter last month and man, IT JUST LEFT ME CRAVING FOR MOREEEE :D
[identity profile] thekeyholder.livejournal.com on April 13th, 2015 02:44 pm (UTC)
Ohh, you had to translate those document yourself? Yeah, there are some extra sounds that don't exist in Italian, but otherwise they are really similar. The exam was easy, did it in 10 minutes, and then there was a short interview in the afternoon. Basically I just had to present myself. xD So I can continue with A2 and apparently there are 5 places left in the group that fits my schedule, so I should be fine (sign up is on Wednesday afternoon).

Oh wow, California! :O It's not easy moving in Europe, but moving to another continent is completely different! Well, you can save some money for a while and then try to see what opportunities arise. ;) I'll keep my fingers crossed!

I can imagine, Exeter was probably the best gig in the entire tour! <3 Yeah, I thought you'd be doing Rome, a lot of my friends are going. I'm going to Rockavaria in Munich, but since back when I got the ticket no one wanted to come, I bought seating. :)) Couldn't queue anyway, can't get there early enough.
[identity profile] oh-cathy.livejournal.com on April 14th, 2015 08:26 am (UTC)
Well, it was me and Google Translate, I'd say we did quite a good job, lol! I usually translate from English, Spanish or French - even Greek sometimes - but Romanian was definitely a new one! :D

Yay for you! Knew you'd make it - and I'm also happy to hear that you'll continue with Italian! Ben fatto (well done)! ♥

Yeah... California. But this morning I actually woke up thinking about moving to Scotland again, lol. I'll probably end up in Milan in the end, I just know it... XD

Exeter was... there are no words to describe it. Great? The best? Geez, just thinking about it still gives me the chills! I'm hoping for a repeat performance this summer, those old b-sides work just PERFECTLY live!

Ohhh, Munich? I actually considered going to Munich... will definitely let you know if I decide to come! Let's say there's a 90% of chance I might buy a ticket... you'll probably end up having company :P
[identity profile] thekeyholder.livejournal.com on April 14th, 2015 02:46 pm (UTC)
Well, Spanish and French are okay, I guess, but Greek? :O Wow! Or do you speak it?

Haha, grazie!

Well, you have to keep your mind open, who knows what will come up? :D

Ahhh, I can imagine, just looking at pics/watching vids made me crave for more! I doubt that we'll hear b-sides at festivals, but who knows? Yeah, my uni town is like 3 hours away from Munich, so after they released day tickets, I got one. AND THAT WOULD BE AMAZING if you came!!! :DDDD I booked accommodation, but I might get a ride back from a friend who also bought tix a few days ago, so it's still uncertain if I'm staying the night or not.
[identity profile] shakespeare.livejournal.com on April 23rd, 2015 08:01 am (UTC)
Ahhh, it's good to see you still around on here (though not sure why I didn't see this on my flist - d'oh must've missed it). This is amazing, and so is the full version. Argh. I'm also coming back to LJ after uni and life utterly making it impossible to even contemplate. So what am I doing? Coming back during my Finals. I have so much sense. Ha.

Also writing. Writing is good. I have missed that, too. Lots of things. ♥
[identity profile] oh-cathy.livejournal.com on April 26th, 2015 10:35 am (UTC)
Heyyy! ♥
It's so good to see that you're back on LJ, really! :D

I felt like I'd been away from this website for ages and I kind of really missed it (after all, I still think LJ is better than most social networks out there - at least it gives you time to *think*, if you know what I mean; no mindless scrolling, reblogging, casual small talk etc.), so here I am, and it pleases me to no end to see that I'm not alone. :)

Of course you had to come back when ~real life hits you the most - that's how brains work. Hopefully a bit of writing will help you relax before your Finals, you know, take a bit of stress away? As always, I'd been more than happy to read anything from you, so I'll keep my fingers crossed. ♥

Hope you're doing good, darling. ♥
